1. People can sign up through an RSS reader to receive your blog in their email inbox. Since people check their email at least once a day, an RSS reader will send your post to their inbox.

2. Connect to your other social media: facebook, twitter.

3. Use social bookmarking, such as StumbleUpon and delicious, which are aggregators of content.

4. Use your URL in all materials, like the signature line in email.

5. Reach out to bloggers who write about the same or similar topics. Bloggers are generous and exchanging links with them and guest blogging are great ways to increase traffic.

6. Comment on other blogs to engage more readers.

I think that bloggers succeed the most when they create an online community which becomes dependent on them. This should be done independently from the authors daily life since blogs can be very personal and may be unfit to share with someone such as a boss or future employer.
For that reason I put spreading news about your blog through email as the bottom two.
I included the ones which spoke mainly about creating your own blogging social space through comments and social media as the top ways to get followers since I think they publicize you as an online personality and get your image out there.

If by check out your analytics you were referring to the blog we were meant to find which we regularly read, than I chose the NME blog. It's a music blog based off a magazine which is very popular with young adults in England.

  2. Yeah so I am guessing the same thing as Stazi, so here it is: 1,3,2,4,5,6.
I think getting more people are informed through RSS because it can directly be hooked with their smartphones, ipods etc. Posting URL or commenting other people's blog is a to do after accomplishing some popularity through these means including RSS. 아이유 ^^

  3. I'm thinking 6, 5, 2, 1, 4, 3. You want to become ever-present throughout the blogging community, so it's important to raise people's awareness of your blog by posting your comments and links on other people's blogs, as well as by getting connected with other blog writers of similar topics. That's the best way to get popular, at which point all the other things mentioned are a good way to stay popular.
